  Community
DESCRIPTION:Roots in Motion is a 90 minute experiential workshop that explo
 res the African roots of Afro Latin dance as a living history of resilience
 \, healing\, and connection. Through storytelling\, rhythm\, and simple\, a
 ccessible dance steps\, participants learn how movement has been used to co
 mmunicate\, heal\, and build community across the African diaspora. No danc
 e experience is required—just a willingness to move\, reflect\, and recon
 nect with the wisdom held in the body.\nThe workshop will include a short d
 ance sequence that is optional for participants to be filmed and posted on 
 social media as a means of sharing what was learned and the experience.\nDa
 nce steps will be taught for solo dancing so no partner is needed. Dinner i
